Why Join the PTA? - Joining makes a difference
- The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is to benefit
your child
- Joining the PTA does not obligate you to volunteer at school or attend PTA meetings—although
we hope you will!
- There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your school.
- The principal comes to the meetings gives updates and informs the PTA with
what is
going on at Kemptown ES
- The PTA offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well as students.
- PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building
rapport
and discussing issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas,
concerns and experiences.
- By volunteering with your PTA, you put your skills and hobbies to use for a noble
cause.
- PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at your child’s school.
- By getting involved at your child’s school you’ll be part of the solution, helping
make positive changes. Local PTAs play an important role in fundraising to provide
building improvements, curriculum-based programs and social events.
- PTA membership helps you connect with the school, the staff and other parents and
gives you a voice in deciding the direction of the Kemptown PTA. Only members can
vote on PTA issues and/or hold a PTA office.
- 100% teacher involvement for 2010 – 2011 school year
